Country Music Icon Dolly Parton Dies at 80
Country music legend Dolly Parton has died at 80 following a short battle with cancer, according to her family.
From her unforgettable hits like “Jolene” and “9 to 5” to her memorable film roles in 9 to 5 and Steel Magnolias, Parton built a decades-long legacy as one of the most beloved entertainers in American history.
Beyond music and Hollywood, Parton was celebrated for her philanthropy, including the Dollywood Foundation and her Imagination Library, which provides free books to children around the world.
Tributes poured in following her death, including from President Donald Trump, who called her passing a “tremendous loss” and ordered flags flown at half-staff nationwide for one week.
