President Trump’s ban on CNN, MS NOW, and Politico reporters took physical effect Saturday when White House correspondents arrived for work and had their press credentials disabled or confiscated on site. MS NOW reporter Akayla Gardner, CNN reporter Betsy Klein, and Politico reporter Cheyenne Haslett were all denied entry with credentials seized or deactivated. Fox News WHCA President Jacqui Heinrich responded, stating “Today’s action revoking access for journalists from CNN, POLITICO, and MSNOW violates the First Amendment.” All three news organizations have vowed to take legal action and continue covering the administration.
